Clemence Auley
This article Clemence delt with is about a new hotel in the Maldives island. She describes the positive and negative aspects which is very good but she should also talk about the competition, the date of creation...she should be more precise on the information about the hotel and not the destination.

By Hugues Miranda
I think this comment needs more commentaries on the impact of a new palace in Paris, owned by a chinese company. I have worked in the Shangri La Dalian and I think this group is extending so quickly and now it is settling in Paris near the best palaces in this city.
The fact that this hotel will be runned by Didier le Calvez means this hotel is a promising project.

Pan Pacific Hotels And Resorts Announces The Launch Of The New 'Pan Pacific Distribution System'
This article is dealing with the Pan Pacific Hotels which is establishing a new reservation process. This new reservation process will enable guests to inform the hotel about their preferences by filling a profile while doing their booking online.
This should attract more guests and facilitate guests loyalty.
This system is a real revolutionnary marketing process. Actually, when a guest first comes to a hotel, there is a certain time for the staff to evaluate this guest's needs. They build up an inventory thanks to the guests multiple venues, but thanks to this system the guest would be known as soon as he is booking his room. There are more chances to attract his loyalty.
I think this system is very good and it should have been settled a long time ago.

I agree with Olga's stand point. She is right to support the author by saying that people should be aware of the destinations current situation and that government should be reactive on their marine and coastal damages. I think the government should settle some policies about the development of structures and proceed to controls more often.

State of Travel in 2007 May Mean Change in Policies and Demand Expected to Remain High
This article is revealing that tourism in Canada, Mexico and the Carribeans will be affected by the new airlines policies, higher fares and changing security rules.
But I think - as the article mentionned that travelers will go on with their desires to travel to long distance destinations - the tourism industry will be hit by these new policies just as long as people need to adapt to these. They can't go on without their customs as going back to where they used to do for years or having cultural experiences or simply relaxing in another landscape.

Online video ‘eroding TV viewing’
This article deals with online video vs TV viewing.
The emergence of videos kept and watch on websites is eroding - as the title means - TV viewing. I think it's because people want to watch what really interests them mainly in terms of news and events as long as they want. If they didn't catch a thing they can watch it again compared to TV where you watch passively.
There are still some things that can not be replaced as the surprise of catching a very good movie or documentary while switching channels, and seat back on a comfortable sofa.
