I agree with Olga's stand point. She is right to support the author by saying that people should be aware of the destinations current situation and that government should be reactive on their marine and coastal damages. I think the government should settle some policies about the development of structures and proceed to controls more often.

State of Travel in 2007 May Mean Change in Policies and Demand Expected to Remain High
This article is revealing that tourism in Canada, Mexico and the Carribeans will be affected by the new airlines policies, higher fares and changing security rules.
But I think - as the article mentionned that travelers will go on with their desires to travel to long distance destinations - the tourism industry will be hit by these new policies just as long as people need to adapt to these. They can't go on without their customs as going back to where they used to do for years or having cultural experiences or simply relaxing in another landscape.
